Last month we went on a trip through Scotland in our road-show van to show customers our control solutions. Kitted out with our new brochures, demo joysticks, console, cable chain, safety switches, resistors and more to show off! Our plan was to visit customers, new and old to showcase our products across a range of industries from offshore and drilling, to nuclear and heavy machinery manufacturing.
We set off on a rainy Sunday, but as we made our way towards Aberdeen, the sun eventually came out. We arrived at our Airbnb and got ready for the first meeting the next day. In the morning despite the pouring rain, we managed to set up our gazebo and had a great response from customers viewing our control solutions. We met lots of new people and enjoyed hearing how our control solutions could help their business going forward. Having our joystick desk and demo console allowed these guys to see our products quality first hand and helped visualise incorporating them for an upcoming project. In the evening, we got to check out the Brewdog pub in Aberdeen too, which was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day.
On Tuesday, we made our way to the beautiful coastal town of Portlethen, where we had another great meeting conveying our control solutions. The snow had started to fall as we arrived so thankfully we got to set up in their warehouse! After talking through some of our new products we got the chance to see our joysticks in use on their machinery too which was brilliant.
Wednesday and Thursday were filled with more productive meetings and excited customers veiwing our control solutions, taking us from Edinburgh to Glasgow. We got to discuss some very exciting projects from crane operator consoles at a steelworks to complete cabin solutions for the offshore industry. The beautiful Grassmarket in Edinburgh was a real highlight for these couple of days though!
We finished on a high note at Torness power station, located on a stunning stretch of coastline. The scenery was breath taking, and the sun was shining, making it the perfect end to a great trip.
After a week of meeting customers and showcasing our control solutions, we started our journey back home. Although we were sad to leave Scotland behind, it’d been a great trip and we were incredibly grateful for everyone who shared their time with us!
