Overview of AS Controls

In 2013, AS Joysticks Ltd. was founded by Ashley Seaton and appointed as the sole UK & Ireland representative for Spohn & Burkhardt, a leading supplier of joystick controls, operator control stations and resistance banks.

In 2014, a sales and technical team was established to offer better support to our customer base. To assist our customers further in critical situations, a survey and repair service was created.

In 2016, AS Joysticks became the sole UK & Ireland representative for Koduct, a leading manufacturer of cable chain systems, this was in addition to the existing product offering.

Following a period of rapid progression, along with a desire to improve our delivery times through stockholding, AS Joysticks moved in 2017 to a new facility in Frognall, Peterborough.

To further complement our range of products, AS Joysticks were appointed as the sole UK & Ireland representative for EFD, a leading manufacturer of industrial safety switches under the Sitec brand.

In 2020, AS Joysticks was rebranded to AS Controls Ltd, to better reflect the company's product offering.

 

As we continued to grow, we moved premises again, to Market Deeping. Here we’ve been able to further expand, notably our cable chain track which is now thousands of metres.

In 2022, we launched the AS Controls road show in order to allow our customers domestically and internationally to experience our products first hand.

In a bid to improve our service further we have become a complete control solutions provider. From joysticks to fully kitted cabins, we can supply products plug and play.

In 2023, we also saw our first install of a Koduct Cable Track installation in the Steelworks Industry.

In 2024, we installed the first FSMMD Ultras (x2) in the UK, in an Energy from Waste Facility.
